Ford Focus review – CarBuyer

Saturday, December 3rd, 2011 admin

Full review: www.carbuyer.co.uk You’ll like the fact that this is one of the best small family cars to drive, and offers a range of powerful diesels. Even though the firm suspension and sporty ride is not to as comfortable as some rivals, a January 2008 facelift has improved looks and means interior quality is a close match for upmarket alternatives like the VW Golf. ECOnetic editions offer great fuel economy, while high performance ST editions are fun to drive. Both three and five-door models are spacious, but the latter is the better family choice. By bjthedjdutchdude1992 on December 3rd, 2011 at 7:51 pm

i would love to have a ford fushion :)

@andythewooferguy I agree the Focus mk2 is an excellent excellent car – I use to have an ST in fact :-D But the mk3 is also excellent, especially in Titanium trim. And I can’t wait for the new ST.

Hyundai Sonata’s steering wheel fell off. Hyundai Sonata subject of recall. Hyundai dealers admit the Accent model has similar vibration as the Sonata.

I’ve had the Ford Focus since 2003 and it still works great!

@andythewooferguy MK2s are awesome….I still drive my 2004 2.0 Ghia

By chinchillawrangler on December 3rd, 2011 at 11:26 pm

i ike the UK’s focus more than our US focus. ours looks kinda fruity haha

I’m surprised Mat didn’t point out the very small side bins on the door or their complete absence in rear seats!

“Sporty zetec trim” PMFSL horrid car

did u saw his face when he sais ” My hiking boots ” 0:47

Yeah, car reviews always crack me up. They fixate on small details like cupholders and pockets in the rear seat, but completely disregard fundamentals like handling, engine quality, serviceability, build quality etc… But then again, maybe the average consumer doesn’t care at all about those things, and only really look at the shallow details, like “can i plug in my ipod” and “will it hold my coffee”…

some good info on these at vw-california-owners-forum

would look nice tucked between my 68 and 79 vans, and wont freeze to death while winter camping would be a definite plus, Are the front seats heated by chance?

A bit torn on the VW California. Seems great but I would really like the ability to shower, as some other campervans have.

By MrHarry102938 on December 4th, 2011 at 1:29 pm

Nice review, alot of detail. Thanks!

VW California, not available in the states. Irony.

I’d be a “happy camper” if they’d sell the California IN California!!! :( Why don’t they??

Nice video – I hope – I will have my T5 (1 year old) in the next 4-5 weeks.
Greetings from Germany

If only they sold these here in California…

And it’s a Volkswagon!! Bit of Nostalgia here

By paulomegrees on December 4th, 2011 at 4:19 pm

Hey mate, you look really happy. Enjoy it

@ApologiaTV Excited? With the seats I think it’s the same as on the conversion I have now – a lever between your legs at the front to release the rotating mechanism.
The driver’s seat is tricky to spin as you need to adjust the steering column and the front-back position and angle of the seat to get it in a position where it has room to spin.

For the record I now have a 2007 T5 Transporter panel van conversion. Couldn’t afford the California – the next best thing for less than half the cash.

Just picked one up today…still can’t figure out how to spin front seats around.

I’ve had a California for 18 months, and I didn’t know you could do that in one… (Hide the seat belt catches away under the seat )…
Very good review :-)

By voodooalchemy on December 4th, 2011 at 9:43 pm

fucking german engineering…brilliant. do they sell it in the u.s.? it’s ironic we can’t get it here in california.
